TC 6.9 is concerned with the storage of thermal energy for use in heating and/or cooling and with charging or discharging this energy at a controllable rate. The TC collects and disseminates information on storage processes, materials, containers, components, systems and costs as well as on analytical methods for evaluating and predicting storage performance.

The Committee sponsors Research Projects, which are a way to further knowledge in our field.

We provide valuable assistance in the writing and revision of those chapters in the Handbook for which we are responsible.

We often sponsor one or more Seminars at the Society National Meetings. This is a good opportunity to let others know what TC 6.9 is doing.

The subcommittee meetings are where the action is, so don't miss them. They are a good way for TC members to become more closely involved with the activities of the committee.
